I am pleased to report that we have secured a new game store venue for our San Diego Game Days thanks to Kevin Legge: “At Ease Games” 12373 Poway Road, Poway, CA 92064.
Ron Kent is the owner and a friend of Kevin. I took the opportunity to drop by the store on Wednesday and speak to Ron, who is a super-nice guy and happy to host us. As for the location I’ll just say that if I were asked to dream up an ideal game day venue, it would look very much like At Ease Games. The store is about the same size as the old Artifex store in Mira Mesa (2000 SF). He has 9 six foot banquet tables in the rear of the store, with plenty of room, plenty of light and AC. There are also a half dozen large Warhammer tables and numerous display cases and shelves. The store is open from 10:00 am to 10 pm.
Our inaugural meeting is scheduled for a Saturday, October 29th at 10:00 am. He already has us on the calendar. Beginning in November we will resume our 4th Saturday schedule at this location.
On behalf of the Club, I want to thank Steve Thorne (and his wife Julie) for stepping in to host us while we looked for a permanent venue. Thanks also to Kevin Legge, for helping us secure this excellent new venue.
